One can’t-miss activity at NOAC this year is the conference-wide game Ascent sponsored by America’s Navy. No matter what you’re doing at conference, participating in Ascent is a way to meet new friends, learn about your fellow Arrowmen and get the most out of NOAC. Ascent offers four treks and multiple badges that you can earn by checking into programs with your NOAC Ascent app.
Each of the four treks offers a limited edition patch for youth delegates who complete them. Supplies of the patch are limited, so you’ll want to get started on your first trek soon.
Just by participating in the Ascent game, youth delegates will earn points towards unique and exciting prizes, such as outdoor gear, experiences unique to NOAC, and exclusive NOAC merchandise. Prizes refresh daily and point values may change throughout the week. Each prize only has limited quantities, and you’ll be able to claim them at the Ascent Prize Room at the University Memorial Center across from the trading post.
Points will also launch you to the top of the Ascent leaderboard, where you can compete against other Arrowmen around NOAC. On Friday afternoon, the leaderboard will close and the top three youth delegates will receive an REI gift card to support their outdoor adventures, worth up to $1,000 depending on your placement.
To connect with fellow Arrowmen and engage with the conference program, make sure to download the Ascent app. From there, simply open the Ascent app and tap your phone to the yellow tag on the wristband. If your phone isn’t compatible, a QR code is available in the NOAC Ascent app.
