Cooking at Conference

Today at NOAC, we cooked! The Pacesetters Committee led Arrowmen in igniting their passion for cooking and competition in NOAC’s ultimate culinary challenge: the Iron Chef Competition! Arrowmen raced against the clock to prepare a dish for a panel of judges. With both seasoned chefs and excited beginners, Arrowmen got to showcase their skills and find NOAC’s Iron Chefs.

With a focus on breakfast meals featuring special ingredients provided by Schar, Arrowmen had twenty minutes to prepare a one serving meal. To challenge Arromwmen and level the playing field, each Arromwmen was required to incorporate one Schar gluten free ingredient and was only given one egg. Arrowmen worked hard creating their plates and got the opportunity to rate each other’s plates and decide on a winner. On Wednesday, the winner was Jason Middendorf of Kittan Lodge, Twin Rivers Council, who made a gluten free french toast.

Along with competitions like Iron Chef, Pacesetters offered many other awesome program events, including the Dave Alexander Brotherhood Triathlon this morning, trainings on nutrition and culinary arts, and other competitions at NOAC! Through these programs, Pacesetters sought to unite Arrowmen in friendly competition, building Brotherhood along the way. Congrats to all the winners in all competitions!
