This NOAC, Arrowmen got an up-close look at space, as a replica of Blue Origin’s New Shepard Crew Capsule was on display at Adventure Central.
The New Shepard Crew Capsule is an almost entirely reusable space capsule capable of holding six people and traveling just above the Karman Line, the division between the atmosphere and space. Blue Origin has successfully sent 36 people to space over seven separate missions.
Blue Origin is also excited to announce its K-12 STEAM education program, Club For The Future! Club For The Future is focused on inspiring the future generation to follow their passions. The director of Blue Origin’s Club For The Future, Heather Nelson, explained that they seek to show kids the need for everyone in the future of space, not just engineers, and encouraged interested Arrowmen to keep up their interests.
“Follow your passion,” Nelson remarked. “There’s a place in space for everyone.”
